About Aditi Sahu
Essentially, I am fascinated by ideation and it’s uptake. My goal is to work in the field of brand strategy, communications and project management, where I can not only work on new and budding ideas but also help companies create unique identities and execute their mission and vision.
THEN:
I graduated from UCLA in 2018 with a degree in Sociology where I realised my passion for understanding consumer behaviour and decision making. Apart from my degree I spent my time involved in California’s incredible entrepreneurship space, primarily with roles in marketing, writing and brand strategy.

Subsequently, I worked with two diverse start ups — Gradly, a tech company that worked to provide solutions to international grad students such as myself — where I communicated with key institutional partnerships such a s the Global Benefits Group as well as the customers in order to improve the complexity at our backend, and the other, an art gallery, where I designed catalogues and ran marketing for an art exhibition titled Mini, featuring small format works.

NOW:
I am currently a graduate student at Georgetown University’s Communication, Culture & Technology program. My classes here have focused on product development, media management, digital strategy, UX design and qualitative research — all essential in order to create and ensure the success of a product.
I also work as a Graduate Assistant for Programming for the Center for Student Engagement where I advise over 20 student organisations as well as Georgetown’s Program Board.

Working for start ups has helped me realise the value of strategic thinking and the constant problem solving that goes into making a new company known and primarily, the importance of having all hands on deck, aided further by my interdisciplinary background. I realised the power of influencing consumer behaviour in the digital age and want to further explore that space through brand building and strategic communication.
